We are very sad to report the death of Ken Capstick. Ken was the Elected Trustee for the Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire constituency and was a dedicated representative of the Scheme and all of its members.
Ken spent all of his working life and his retirement supporting miners and their families and was a member of MPS from 1959 until it closed for future membership in 1994. Ken worked underground in the mining industry for 38 years and was an NUM Branch Delegate, NUM Yorkshire Area Executive member and Vice-Chairman of the NUM Yorkshire Area.
Ken was first elected as a Trustee for MPS in 2016 and supported many members and families during his time as a Trustee.
Ken will be very sorely missed by everyone involved with the Scheme.
