Following the publication of the Report into the Scheme by the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee on 29 April 2021, representatives of the Mineworkers’ Pension Scheme Trustees met with Anne-Marie Trevelyan (Minister of State for Business, Energy & Clean Growth) on 21 June 2021 to discuss the Report. At the meeting, the Trustees made it clear that they supported the Committee’s findings and recommendations, and now look forward to seeing the Government’s response to the Report. It was confirmed that the Government would be responding to the Report by 29 June.
